Private car or SUV with an experienced mountain driver from Islamabad to Naran and Kaghan, Swat, Gilgit, Hunza and Skardu — one-way drops or multi-day tours planned around the weather and road conditions.
Reviewed by Syed Komail Hassan Moosvi, CEO of JinWheels — in the car business since 2005 and former General Manager of Europcar Islamabad · Updated October 2026
The drives north of Islamabad are some of the most beautiful in the world, but they are long, mountainous and affected by landslides, snow and seasonal road closures. Babusar Pass, the route between Naran and Chilas, normally opens only in summer, and the Karakoram Highway can be slowed by roadworks and weather.
A JinWheels driver who knows these roads lets you enjoy the scenery while they handle the driving, overnight stops and timing. For most mountain tours we recommend a Toyota Prado or another SUV, and we plan daily driving distances that are safe and comfortable.
One-way fixed prices from our booking system. Multi-day tours with the car and driver staying with you are quoted separately, including the driver’s stay.

Long mountain drives are tiring; build in rest days, especially before Skardu or Hunza.
Keep your CNIC or passport handy for checkpoints and some cash for areas with limited ATMs.
